my travel-related goals and a few dream destinations

FUTURE ENDEAVORS

I firmly believe that everyone who has the opportunity to experience cultures outside of their own should do so. Traveling teaches you to live an adventure, it helps you encounter compassion, and it is immeasurably eye opening. Unfortunately, many will never have the opportunity to travel beyond their country's borders, and others might not even recognize and take advantage of having the opportunity.

I would like to one day start a foundation that changes this reality for underprivileged high school students who dream of seeing the world. This organization would educate future globetrotters on embracing other cultures, help with acquiring passports, provide travel advice, and teach the students about budgeting. Many believe that traveling is impossible to do unless unlimited time and financial resources are readily available; however, with the right planning, it is very possible to visit other countries and receive rewarding experiences as a result, without having to be financially wealthy. By the mid-late teenage years, students usually begin to recognize more financial, among other coming-of-age responsibilities. I think it is especially important to instill a curious, optimistic, and globally informed mindset at this age, while highlighting that it is just as important to be responsible and respectful of others.

My foundation would aim to accomplish this, and finally, it would sponsor educational trips to cities around the world for students who may have never expected to leave their home country. I am inspired by those who adventure all over the world and passionate about spreading my adventurous spirit. I hope to one day be an inspiration, too, and maybe even be the reason someone becomes an explorer of everything the world has to offer.

There are few countries I would turn down visiting, however, here are a few that appear at the top of a very long must-visit list!
